Fertilizer distribution corridor
Djibouti → Eastern Ethiopia

Fertilizer distribution corridor

Seasonal import movement used articulated tractor-trailer units to move fertilizer from gateway staging through multiple eastern receiving points. Fikadu Takola coordinated dispatch windows, warehouse release, receiving appointments, and proof of delivery across a 16-week program. The operating plan used daily milestone updates so the agriculture partner could adjust distribution sequencing without losing visibility of loads already on the road.

Regional Ethiopia

USAID / NGO program logistics

A development program required dependable movement of supplies beyond the main corridor. Fikadu Takola combined warehouse staging, articulated trailer capacity, regional partner coverage, and signed receiving documentation. The team maintained a delivery register across 84 points, enabling the program logistics lead to reconcile planned quantities, received quantities, and exceptions without relying on informal updates.

Industrial equipment move
Djibouti → Central Ethiopia

Industrial equipment move

Six lowbed trailer movements carried oversized equipment from the port gateway to a central manufacturing site. Route checks covered clearance, road conditions, turning points, and the final site approach. Fikadu Takola aligned loading checks with the receiving team and sequenced the loads so installation planning could begin as equipment arrived rather than waiting for the full movement to finish.

Regional food security staging
Dire Dawa / Afar

Regional food security staging

A time-sensitive food security program used warehouse staging near the eastern corridor before dispatch into regional receiving points. Fikadu Takola coordinated pallet counts, trailer loading plans, scheduled releases, and receiving windows for 2,100 pallets. The staging model reduced avoidable dwell time and gave the program team a single operating contact for exceptions, re-routing, and final delivery records.
